چکیده
Purpose: To evaluate patient satisfaction, the retentive characteristics, and masticatory efficiency in maxillary single denture wearers with 3 different bases. Material Methods: 40 patients; 10 dentate (control group (GC)) 30 completely edentulous ridges patients (43-56 years) were selected for this study. The divided into groups randomly; each received dentures; Group I (GI) conventional heat cured acrylic resin (AR) followed by thermoplastic (TAR) then nylon (TN) base (GI:AR/TAR/TN), (GII:TAR/TN/AR) (GIII:TN/AR/TAR). Patient characteristics evaluated months after delivery of denture. Results: 27 out had age (mean 50 ± 3.7 accomplished Statistically significant differences observed comfort appearance, p≤ 0.05. No statistically phonetics, pain, or ease cleaning denture, p>0.05. forces between (AR, TAR TN), 0.05 except (TN TAR), (GC, AR, (TAR Conclusions: Maxillary dentures TN bases showed advantage over AR terms appearance. Retention comparable higher than that Type does not influence wearers.

متن کاملMasticatory efficiency in denture wearers with bilateral balanced occlusion and canine guidance.
The maintenance of masticatory function is especially important for patients wearing complete dentures due to their limitations. Thus, the bilateral balanced occlusal concept is used to achieve greater masticatory efficiency. However, a critical review of the literature reveals that there is not sufficient scientific evidence to support bilateral balanced occlusion as the most appropriate occlu...
